Richard Wilkins, BA, Cert ED, PG DipEd (Guidance Counselling), PG Cert (Professional Supervision), MNZAC
Richard is a Member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC).
He is an experienced counsellor with extensive experience working across a broad age range from adults to children, Richard offers Solution-Focussed Therapy and is a trained mindfulness facilitator.
Drawing on his rich and diverse life experience as a high school teacher and senior leader, retained firefighter and station officer, victim support volunteer and psychosocial first aid facilitator, Richard naturally engages with clients from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, age and gender diversity.
Richard has extensive experience working with young people and is currently working both as a School Guidance Counsellor and leading Adventure Therapy programmes in conjunction with Whenua Iti Outdoors. Richard is known for his warm, approachable communication style and ability to engage with clients.
Richard is also trained in Restorative Justice and is a qualified Professional Supervisor providing Professional Supervision in Nelson and throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand by Zoom.
