I was born and raised in Whanganui. I moved to Wellington to study psychology, and have remained since. My thesis research explored why young people (living in New Zealand) engage in suicidal behaviour. I am a registered psychologist. I have experience working with children/young people and adults who have difficulties managing their mood, engage in self-harm and/or suicidal behaviour, substance use, harmful sexual behaviour, or when they have experienced a sexual assault. I am trained in EMDR therapy for children/young people and adults, including EMDR 2.0, EMDR for first responders/armed forces, R-TEP, G-TEP, neurodiversity affirming EMDR, and treatment of grief, depression, suicidal ideation, pain, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, addictions, dissociation, and somatic dissociation. I am an accredited practitioner with EMDRNZ.
