Dr Jeanne van Wyk

Dr Jeanne van Wyk is a clinical psychologist who trained at The University of Auckland. Jeanne has experience working with people of different ages and cultural backgrounds in a variety of mental health settings. She has worked with adults and young adults who were experiencing a wide range of difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, OCD, burnout, grief, and relationship difficulties. Jeanne is also highly skilled at supporting people who have experienced trauma and are having difficulties coping with and making sense of their traumatic experiences.
Jeanne is a warm, non-judgemental, and highly empathetic clinician. Her therapeutic approach is holistic, client centred, and strength-based. She works collaboratively with her clients to create a supportive space where meaningful change can occur.
Jeanne uses a range of therapeutic modalities to support her clients to achieve their therapy goals.These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Jeanne is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Jeanne is currently only seeing clients via telehealth.
