"Healing is learning to carry our stories with compassion, courage, and hope"
It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they navigate trauma, grief, change, and life’s challenges. I support children, adolescents, and adults through ACC Sensitive Claims and general counselling, offering a gentle, safe, and compassionate space to explore experiences that feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to put into words.
Originally from South Korea, I have been grateful to call Aotearoa New Zealand home for the past 25 years. Living between cultures has deepened my appreciation for each person’s unique story, cultural identity, relationships, values, and life experiences. I believe these are an important part of healing and deserve to be honoured with respect.
My counselling approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, drawing on Narrative Therapy while thoughtfully integrating CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness and Solution-Focused Therapy to meet each person's individual needs. Together, we move at a pace that feels safe, gently exploring your experiences, reconnecting with your strengths, and finding meaningful ways forward.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens through connection. My hope is that you will feel heard, understood, and supported as we walk your journey together with compassion, courage and hope.
