Mayuri Samant
Master of Arts in Applied Psychology
Mayuri is a counsellor with experience supporting individuals through trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and personal growth. She has worked within the mental health sector in both New Zealand and India, supporting people from diverse cultural, social, and life backgrounds.
Her approach is client-centred, compassionate, and collaborative, drawing from solution-focused, strength-based, and somatic-informed approaches. Mayuri believes that healing involves not only understanding thoughts and emotions but also reconnecting with the body, building self-awareness, and developing practical tools for everyday life.
She provides a warm and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace while working towards meaningful and sustainable change. Her practice is informed by trauma-sensitive principles, with a focus on safety, empowerment, resilience, and helping clients reconnect with their strengths.
Mayuri works with ACC Sensitive Claims clients as well as individuals seeking support for a range of emotional, psychological, and relational concerns.
