Kia ora! I'm Vanessa. I’m Pākēha and my pronouns are she/her. I’m an experienced and qualified counsellor registered with NZAC.
My counselling approach is evidence-based, client-centred and non-judgmental. Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based CBT, Positive Psychology, Internal Family Systems, Play and Art therapy.
I can help with grief, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, eating disorders, self-esteem, lifestyle changes, addiction, sexuality, neuro-divergence, and trauma.
I strive to create a safe and affirming environment for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, and work together to set and achieve their therapeutic goals and work with children, teenagers and adults.
