Bruce Donaldson

PhD. PG DipClinPsych

I am a New Zealand registered Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Psychology, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Coexisting Disorders from Otago University, NZ. I have experience in recognizing and treating a broad range of psychiatric presentations, with expertise in adult mental health, forensic psychology, health psychology, pain management, and intellectual disability. I have worked in a variety of settings including adult outpatient and inpatient, correctional facilities, medical wards, and private practice. My clinical training was in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT); however, I use a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on what is indicated by research and individual needs. I have completed training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and worked as part of a DBT Consult Group. I have also trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). I have experience in the supervision of other psychologists and in running a variety of psychological group interventions.
