Camille Paris
Bachelor of Counselling
I am a qualified Counsellor with a Bachelor of Counselling and am a full member of NZAC. I am committed to providing client-centred support that empowers individuals and supports meaningful change in their lives.
My primary therapeutic approach is Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), while also drawing on Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Te Whare Tapa Whā, Imago Relationship Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centred Counselling. I have experience supporting clients with family and sexual violence, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, stress, communication challenges, self-esteem, and personal growth.
I recognise the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and honouring te ao Māori perspectives within counselling practice. I am mindful of the impacts of colonisation in Aotearoa and how these experiences may be present within the counselling space. I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for people of diverse identities, sexualities, and relationship structures, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community.
I value building genuine therapeutic relationships and working alongside clients at a pace that feels right for them.
