Jiwon is a registered psychologist. She is originally from South Korea and completed her training at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
Jiwon’s clinical areas of interest include working with clients on trauma and chronic stress, attachment and relationship difficulties, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and depression.
Jiwon has an integrative approach to assessment and treatment that is based on a developmental, systems and family oriented, trauma informed and attachment based model of health and well-being. Her primary therapeutic approach employs attachment based psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and schema therapy. Jiwon is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).
