Karen is a Psychologist from Chile and a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), with over 10 years of experience in mental health both in New Zealand and internationally. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Family Violence and Sexual Child Abuse, with specialized training in trauma-informed care.
Her practice is grounded in an integrative approach that combines CBT, ACT, and Psychodynamic Therapy, allowing her to tailor interventions to meet each client’s unique needs. She specialises in supporting survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and complex trauma, and also works with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, and major life transitions, including migration and parenthood.
