Nettie Cullen

BSc. MA

Nettie Cullen is a Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in a variety of settings including public mental health services, educational institutions, non-governmental organisations and private practice. Nettie draws on a range of theoretical models in her work including Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural, Solution-Focused and Family Systems therapies. One size does not necessarily fill all, however, and Nettie’s approach to therapy is to work closely with clients to develop a strategy that most effectively produces positive results, given each person’s unique circumstances. Nettie works with clients not just to 'fix what is broken’, but to develop a deeper understanding of self and in this context identify and nurture the individual's particular capabilities and strengths. To do this it is essential to connect with individuals and support them in a whole-of-life way … emotionally, physically, spiritually, relationally and socially.
